Registration for 2010 is now open. Please select what type of player you are registering below. If your son played for the DLA in 2009 please register as a returning player.

The DLA will be realigning to coincide with the school year: September through August. Additionally, players will be grouped according to age, as opposed to grade. We will transition our team organization to the "U" system (Under-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-19). The date for determining age group is January 1st (your son's age on that day will dictate in which age group he participates).

We will begin the 2009-2010 session in September. We will do our absolute best to not conflict with other sports.

The Maverik Dallas Lacrosse Academy (DLA), sponsored by Maverik Lacrosse, was established in the fall of 2008 by accomplished local coaches John Marano, Alex Poole, Kevin Barnicle and Chris Van Dorn. The mission of the Maverik DLA is to provide high-level coaching and instruction to young men to help them reach their highest individual potential and prepare them for college.

The Maverik DLA Coaching Staff, which consists of the Top Local Coaches in Dallas, 14 Professional Lacrosse Players of which 4 are World Team members, truly makes up the Elite Coaching Academy in the country!

The DLA uses three primary methods to accomplish this mission: high-level, intricate practice sessions, visits from professional players to provide unique perspective, and a skill measurement system to provide regular, consistent feedback. The DLA prides itself on its player-to-coach ratio, which ensures the most efficient transfer of information and knowledge to each player. Our detailed curriculum provides concrete information so all players know the skill set they must possess at any particular point in their lacrosse career to be competitive with their peers.
